Free range, hand plucked and matured turkeys
- Bird size ranges from 4kg to 7kg, with giblets included
- Allow 500g of bird weight per person approx
- Dry plucked so you can create crisp and golden skin
- Hung for 2–3 weeks to tenderise the meat and enhance its flavour.
We will have limited numbers of fresh birds ready for Thanksgiving. Delivery dates will be updated later in the year.
In the US turkey is the most common main dish of a Thanksgiving dinner. The domestic turkey eaten now is very different from the wild turkey known to the Pilgrims. Wild turkeys are native to the Americas and there are at least five subspecies that are still found there.

The domesticated bronze turkeys grown for us by Philip Hunter are as close to the wild turkey as it is possible to find. They are slightly smaller and slower growing than white turkeys but the later maturity of this breeds offers a richer flavour.
